Amizero has been a successful project and has afforded 40 women the opportunity to improve their skills and the ability to generate an income for themselves and their families.
Amizero came to completion in February 2019. The training course which lasted 8 months came to completion in February 2019 where 40 women wrote exams and obtained their diplomas in tailoring and embroidery.
Following graduation 20 women were selected to continue the project and start producing goods at a level good enough for retail. The women belong to a co-op started by themselves enabling them to be owners of their own business. The goods will be retailed in a store in Rwanda and the online business is at present “under construction”. The website and online presence will shortly be online which will enable the project to be viewed internationally.
The women of Amizero are truly an inspiration to all and we are confident they will grow the business allowing for future projects to be undertaken.
